"Rationalism" vs "mysticism"

though that whole divide is a false dichotemy, which side generally of this “dichotemy” is the most supported by jewish tradition and evidence? it seems that the “mystical” side is more supported by tradition, and by the mere quanitiy of references to entities that are incompatible with the “rationalist” side. why should i stay primarily on the rationalist side when it seems to go against traditional references to spiritual entities?
