Raised in the southern US, surrounded by Christian evangelicals, I got the sense that people believed the Bible was inerrant.

However, as I read the Torah and various contemporary rabbis’ companion texts, it seems like the prevalent modern view is that these stories are made more of legend than verbatim facts. What is your opinion on the claims made in the Torah?
