Question re: lighting holiday candles as a guest

So here’s a new situation for me— I’ll be at someone else’s home for first night of Sukkot (just for dinner) so I’m planning to light candles there bc I’m going to drive, leave the car at their house until Chol Hamoed and walk back…but I’m feeling a bit nervous/uncomfortable lighting candles at someone else’s home. Candle lighting has always felt like a very private and intimate moment for me as I’ve nearly always done it alone (I didn’t grow up in Jewish household where it was regularly done in front of others).

Wondering about the proper etiquette/procedure when a guest lights at another’s home. Should I make sure to let the hostess light her candles first or does it not matter? Or do hostess/guest usually light simultaneously in such a situation? Any general advice/info on this scenario will be greatly appreciated!
