The Temple Mount is in the world news again so I read up on it some. From a christian background, I was surprised on the restrictions to Jews despite control of access by the state of Israel.
Wikipedia didn’t help much with answering why this is the case. Is it so as not to tread on hallowed ground? On the first Temple site or buried dead? Also why can’t Jews pray there?
Am interested in the subject but ignorant in all but the basics. I can imagine it’s complicated but hopefully someone can help.
