Question for Australian Jews please 🇦🇺

Hi all!

I’m curious to learn more about Australian Jews, specifically in Sydney and Melbourne. If you someone who’s from or lived in one of those cities would be great to get your thoughts on the below:

How many Jews are there? What’s the split between secular/religious? Are they mainly ashkenazi or a mix with sefardi/mizrachi? Do aussie Jews assimilate a lot or mostly marry from the community? What’s the general sentiment towards Jewish people in the society?

And finally (if you made aliyah) why did you decide to move to Israel given Australian high quality of life?
