Why does American Jews call synagogues “Temple”? I believe the only structures which earned those titles in Judaism are the two Temples that used to exist on the Temple Mount.
Why does American Jews call hannukias “Menorah”? The Menorah is supposed to not be replicated and has only 7 candles as opposed to the Hannukah Hannukiah which has 9 candles.
