Question for a CK3 roleplay playthrough of Jewish Vikings.

Question for a CK3 roleplay playthrough of Jewish Vikings.

The Gyðinga (singular Gyðinger) are my take on a Norse inspired Jewish sect. However playing through this I realized that I have very little understanding of what early medieval (before AD 1000) Judaism was like.

I myself am not Jewish but am Episcopalian, so I only have a moderate understanding of Judaism in totality.

I have two main questions for you guys: 1) what was early medieval Judaism like? How does it compare to modern Judaism? 2) how would my Gyðinga be viewed by other Jews? I can give more specifics if you guys want as I’m planning an AAR that will go into more detail on their practices.

Note: by this point in the game most of the Norse have been converted to this religion along with the main group having taken over England, Wales, Ireland, and Brittany. Also we just won a Great Holy War for France (in game just northern France not including Aquitaine or Burgundy).
