I am a woman thinking about incorporating principles of “modesty” / tzniut into my life. I’m not currently married. I understand the principles of covering knees/collarbones/elbows, and hair covering after marriage in some orthodox communities.
Question: What are common practices, or thoughts, in the orthodox/ultra orthodox communities specifically about tzniut and makeup/skincare/nails/jewelry/shoes?
I have only ever been involved in reform communities, or Chabad, which were drastically different, and I don’t have anyone close to me to comfortably ask about those specific aspects of Tzniut.
Thank you.
