My wife and I were discussing the possibility of naming our child Lilith. I know that historically Lilith is viewed in a negative light, but I am also aware that as of the 60s and 70s the name has experienced something of a reinvention through feminist midrash as a positive, independent figure. The latter is where our views tend to align. Ome thing that gives us pause is that we live in a predominantly Catholic area. I’d to hear the community’s views on the matter. Thoughts? Opinions?
