Atheist/non religious here.
A lot of people seem to think that Kosher and Halal slaughter contradict preexisting laws mandating that animals be stunned prior to being killed.
Is it possible to reconcile livestock stunning policies with Halakhic conventions surrounding animal slaughter? Would a Kosher certifying Rabbi accept meat that was prepared by stunning the animal first?
