I mostly keep kosher by default because I’m vegetarian and so is my family.
The main thing I know I do wrong is I don’t throw out eggs with blood spots, as it seems like such a waste, and we’d throw out like 30% of eggs which is a lot.
I’m in the UK if that makes a difference to how many blood spots we find (I know egg production methods and storage is different in the US (not different like y’all don’t use chickens tho 😅)). We get organic free range where possible.
Do you really bin loads of eggs out of every batch and that’s just a cost of keeping kosher? Or is there a better way to follow kashrut without wasting too much?
