Hello, I’ve been wondering how it can be that according to halakha an apostate should be put to death for rejecting Judaism, if we all have free will and are supposed to be able to make such decisions. Shouldn’t anyone be technically physically allowed to become closer to or further from their Judaism, even if the former is strongly encouraged? Thank you in advance.
