How do Jewish parents get their kids to pick good careers?
Serious question.
Because while Jewish people work a variety of jobs, all my Jewish friends are doctors, lawyers, investors, or businesspeople.
My family member picked a lousy career, and I told them to go to law school. They were like “Why would I do that?” Like the idea of making $100,000 more a year seems unappealing.
And that’s when I realized that Jewish parents must do something very differently to so consistently get their kids to pick good careers.
