Pro-Palestinian woman asked me today "if Jews are originally from Middle East, why are you white?"

So this happened today, I said “I don’t know, we just look white”. What do you think I should have said? I think it’s pretty stereotypical to think that everyone in Middle East is brown, if you go to Syria or Palestine you’ll see many people with light skin, red hair etc. And there are swarthy Jews too
