Partial scrolls?

I recognize this may sound like a stupid question, but has anyone ever heard of a partial Torah scroll? Here’s what I’m thinking. I cannot and probably will never be able to afford my own Torah scroll. And frankly I don’t need one. But I am intrigued at the idea of having something with so much spiritual intention. I’m wondering if maybe there are scrolls with certain passages that are written By hand on parchment abiding by all the lies, presumably much more affordable.

Anyone heard of something like this?

PS – I do recognize that to fill-in and mezuzahs could accomplish this goal, but I am specifically asking about a scroll that could be placed in a home made ark.
