I was at a centennial memorial where a substantial number of the dead victims were Jewish. Someone ripped open a sealed printed packet (the kind yeast, seeds or food color come in) and sprinkled it over the common grave. I them thought it was a modern form of burnt offerings, but now am not so sure. Any clues?
