Orthodox, how strictly do you follow Exodus 23:19?

“Do not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk” I view this as do not eat dairy with meat of the same animal, but do you not meat with dairy of any sort? Also at what point does it become ok to eat meat/dairy again? If you ate a cheese stick at 10am could you eat a hamburger for lunch? Could you eat a hamburger if there’s milk in the bun? I’m asking orthodox people specifically because I assume they have stricter interpretations, but anyone’s welcome to answer. Thanks in advance!
