So right now I’m in the middle of applying for college, and my family and I are looking at a bunch of schools. I’m not dead set about YU like many other orthodox kids are, and I’m interested in going to a secular college. The problem is I also want a solid Orthodox community where I go to college. I want to be able to have Kosher food, minyan 3x a day, learning opportunities, dating opportunities, etc. On many college websites they talk about their Jewish community, but that’s usually very general and covering all Jews, but Orthodox students have different wants and needs than the majority of these schools Jewish population. I was hoping to be able to visit colleges and ask students, but COVID has made that hard. So I was hoping to ask you guys about your experiences and knowledge.
