Original thought?

וכתבתם על מזוזות ביתך — From the shmah. This is why we put mezuzahs on our doorframe. But we were told to “write these things on the mezoozot of our houses,” not put scripture in a little box and nail it to the doorframe. Problem being it looks like someone way back when didn’t know what a mezoozah was. A mezoozah, grammatically is something that is moved, right? So it’s the actual moving door part of the doorway assembly, the door. So instead of the cute little doorframe container shouldn’t we just be writing laws on the door itself in tiny script? If I made these doors, would you buy one?
