So my mom was raised loosely jewish. She went to Hebrew school and growing up she celebrated all the major holidays. But I would say my family mostly had a flexible attitude with religion by the time I came into the picture. Growing up, we’ve run the gamut from crystals to evangelical churches that speak in tongue. But I was never given any type of foundation when it came to my Judaism. When I was younger, this didn’t bother me other than the few times I was dragged to temple and understood nothing because it was all in Hebrew. Now that I’m older and have a family of my own, I wouldn’t say I’m feeling deprived, but rather a strong pull to learn more about my faith, this part of myself and my families roots.
So to get to the point, I live where there is zero Jewish population, and would like any info of recommendations for online instruction or conversion. Thanks for taking the time to read!
