i know that i’m not the first person with this problem, but it’s making me a little bit sad ! i’m jewish on my mom’s side, but due to circumstances we don’t have any documents proving my grandma (or her family) being jewish, and i highly doubt i’d be able to find anything like that even with the help of genealogy (again, circumstances)
has anyone here ever converted even though they’re already jewish, just to be able to become a member of a synagogue? i think i’d like to be a member, but it saddens me to have to go through a process that i “shouldn’t have to”, if that makes sense. have you been able to find another solution?
