Shavoua tov!
This Shabbat a thought came to mind: why aren’t there any Rabbis in the Talmud named David or Shlomo? I only studied a few massechtot so if there are some I apologize, but if there aren’t, is there a reason? Are there other biblical names omitted for specific reasons? In comparison, I find it interesting to have Rabbis named Yishmael while having names of Kings, prophets or maybe even tribes not being used.
