There’s a specific sound which is made when there’s a pashta and a zakef katan in the same word (it was heavily featured in last week’s first aliyah, e.g לְיִ֨שָּׂשכָ֔ר), and it sounds like something in between zakef gadol and katan (Ashkenazi cantillation). However, I’ve never encountered its name in any zarka table and I can’t find any information about it online. When I asked the my congregation’s ba’al koreh, he said he doesn’t know it’s name (or even if it has one), just that it’s traditional to sing it as such. Am I crazy or missing something here?
Name of this taam?
