My wife has started singing the blessings with me.

I’m Jewish and my wife is your average non-denominational Christian. She enjoys participating in the various Jewish traditions that I observe throughout the year, at least to the extent that she can. Obviously she was not taught Hebrew as a child, so during Chanukah she would just hum along while I sang the blessings.

Well this year will be our fifth Chanukah celebrated together, and she surprised me yesterday by actually singing along with me! She normally hates singing out loud, so for her to do it in a language she doesn’t know and can’t always pronounce really means a lot to me. I figured you guys, of all people, would appreciate my… un-kvetching. (side question – what is the opposite of kvetch?)
