I’m trying tashlich for the first time this year, but I need some ideas on what to throw in the lake. Everything I’m reading suggests bread crumbs, but I really want to stay away from bread as it can disrupt the local ecosystem. Buying a 10lb bag of catfish kibble seems like overkill (and is guaranteed to make the fishermen hate me) while brine shrimp from the pet fish section just plain feels wrong. What am I missing?
