Does anyone actually think this is offensive? I haven’t met a single person who was offended by being referred to as a Jew unless it was in an obviously derogatory context. My boyfriend has no problem with it at all and my brother actually tried arguing with him about how “he doesn’t speak for all Jewish people” but as soon as I reminded him that he as a white male was speaking over a minority group on the topic of their oppression he got quiet real quick. Anyone else run into these types of people who get offended on others behalf? And is anyone here actually offended by being called a Jew or Jews?
My atheist, social justice warrior brother told me not to refer to Jewish people as “Jews” during a conversation where I mentioned my Jewish partner because “it’s antisemitic and they don’t like that term”.
