Growing up, I learned a midrash that I have never been able to source. Basically, it said that when Bnei Yisrael crossed the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army followed and was drowned, the horses were transformed into sea horses so that they should not be punished too. Does anyone know the source? Or where I could look? Because Google has not been much help.
