With Yom Kippur tomorrow, I forgot to look up whether or not its permissible to take daily medicine. At 29 I was diagnosed with gout and now take Allopurinol to combat my flare ups. My doctor says its uncommon, but not unheard of, for a 6′, 200 lbs man to have this disease, but to stay on it. I’ve read conflicting views online and my rabbi isn’t available. Any advice y’all?
