Me – A Chazan ?? Oh Boy.

Hi,

Our shul is small. Its a Chabad. The area I live in is not religious. Conservadox at best.

We are not getting a regualar minyan on Friday nights anymore and 2 people left the shul whose Hebrew was good enough to lead prayers. Now by default – I’m now the unofficial chazan.

And thats GREAT ! Gives me an opportunity to improve my Hebrew, get in the spirit and show my kids by example how its done.

But – I want to improve my tunes and Hebrew – i need to practice a bit. Where do I start ?
