Machines using machines during sabbath?

I hope this question is okay. It relates to the other questions i asked about technology on this subreddit.

If things in the future work out in a certain way, could a humanoid robot, who is independent and intelligent, but not sentient, and built to do housework like vacuum clean the floor, do the laundry, prepare food etc. be owned and operated by an orthodox jew, even during sabbath?

Would it be necessary to power down the robot?
Would it have to be told to do all the mentioned things except during sabbath?
Are there any other laws which would prohibit, or limit the ownership of a humanoid robot?
