Looking for opinions from people of the faith

As my fiancé and I prepare for our interfaith wedding, we just purchased our beautiful ketubah. My future husband, who is Jewish, mentioned that I (a papercraft artist specializing in weddings) could likely make and sell ketubot, and while I know I could do this from an artistic standpoint, I am not Jewish by faith (only by a very small percentage of ancestry).

His opinion was that it is a piece of artwork which becomes a sacred document when it is used, and that there’s nothing to say I shouldn’t do so. However, respect for all people comes before a single opinion, and I’d like to open this question up to all of you.

If I’m a jerk for even considering it, I’m truly sorry, but searching around didn’t seem to provide a guideline on who may make ketubot. Thanks for your time.
