A few years ago, I found out that my great grandmother was Jewish. She married a Christian but never fully converted and still honoured Jewish traditions. All of this was never mentioned until my grandfather passed away. Anyway, it saddened me that I never got to learn more about Jewish culture or to talk to my grandfather about it. All of this has made me want to honour my family by learning Hebrew. I love learning languages and I’m finding new things out about my family all the time. Are there any online resources I could use to teach myself or would it be best to find a tutor? I travel into a city sometimes for work and there is a Synagogue but I don’t want to impose. I hope this makes sense.
