I’m a Muslim doing a bit of light research on Kosher laws. I follow the Hanafi school of thought within Sunnism and we have a strict requirement that the name of G-d must be pronounced at the time of slaughter of every animal. This is extended to consuming food from the people of the book, i.e. yourselves
Does anyone here have an expansive knowledge over the different methods of kashrut slaughter across the spectrum of judaism? I’d like to know specifically if there exists a ruling that G-d is invoked on every single animal – not just at one stage of the process.
