Just watched The Zone of Interest, and wow was it terrible. Can anyone explain how this was critically acclaimed?

I’m honestly in shock and disgusted at how this film was praised for doing absolutely nothing. The message to me was don’t dehumanize people and normalized racism is taught in their home life. Maybe it’s because I just watched The Pianist yesterday, but wow the movie+his speech leaves me bewildered. Did this get acclaim because people used this story an “analogy” for Israel?
