I watched this documentary Monday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzmDqs1LCAc
It was filmed in 1996, so there were a surprising number of not only Shoah survivors, but Poles in Bransk who remembered the war and the ghetto. It was tough to watch in places, as some of the people seemed almost gleeful about what had happened.
On the other hand, the young Polish man who was helping keep the memory of Jewish Bransk alive was very passionate about his hobby/calling at first, and it was disheartening to see him become more and more disillusioned – first about the widespread complicity, instead of assistance – and second by the way people in his village treated him when he didn’t quit.
In all, highly recommend; it’s a three-hour program, but worth watching.
