the year is The Future. vast swaths of humanity are boarding giant spaceships to travel to Planet Beeblebrox. assume that no one is in danger of dying if they remain on earth. would a traditional halacha-adhering jew be permitted to go to Beeblebrox?
if the answer, as i suspect, is no: suppose a jew already on beeblebrox, or already aboard the spaceship heading there, suddenly decides to become as halachically observant as possible. what halachic problems would this beeblebroxian jew now face?
