So, my grand-grandfather apparently fought in the WW1 in the Tzar’s Army and even received the Saint George Cross for it.
My grandfather was in the Red Army during the WW2 and fought the Japanese.
I myself was in the IDF (obviously a different thing).
But the myth of “jews don’t fight” still persists and is very frustrating. Does your family have stories of military service?
