![]() | Probably the most famous Jewish club in Leipzig was SK Bar Kochba Leipzig. Today, the tradition of the former club is continued by SV Makkabi Leipzig, which is part of the association Makkabi Germany. What caught my attention was the coat of arms of the former VfB Leipzig club. Pictured below is the official VfB Leipzig book from 1922. The club’s coat of arms features two stars reminiscent of the Star of David. Does anyone know if these stars were a symbol of the presence of Jews in VfB Leipzig? submitted by /u/Zagors2020 |
