What do Jewish texts say about the age of the Universe and its creation? I was reading about the Jain view that the universe is eternal and created itself, and was wondering how much Judaism differs from it.
May I ask – do the Tanakh state that the universe has a beginning and an end? If so, why do you believe this? Is there scientific evidence for a finite, created universe? I’d be interested to hear the responses
