Quick story, I was discussing with one of my new colleague who happens to be Jewish and I was telling him that my grandmother from my mom’s side was Jewish.
I then explained to me that since it was on my mom’s side, I could be considered Jewish.
If so, I feel rather stupid to discover that at 33 😲 but to my defense I have never met my grandmother who died at a young age and was living in Europe.
I asked my mom but she wasn’t sure herself. And to be clear, I’ve never done anything religious wise such as bar mitzvah or bris.
I googled a bit but thought I could get a better answer here.
So, what are you opinion? I’m now more curious than ever on my origins.
