I’ve felt a strong pull towards Judaism for nearly 15 years now, which I’ve been too busy or too afraid to acknowledge. On a whim, I wrote to a nearby JCC who invited me to their synagoge tomorrow, to talk with a rabbi. I know very little about the religion… should I go anyway?

On the one hand, I feel like I should have studied more before wasting their time. After all, you only have a chance to make a first impression, and I feel like I’m about to make a pretty silly one.

On the other hand, I’ve finally acted on this “pull” and I’m happy that I did. It feels like I finally took a step in the right direction.
