Hi there, I’m looking for a basic, beginner Siddur that contains detail and explanation behind the format, choreography, etc. of services, particularly weekday and Shabbat services.
I converted to Conservative Judaism some years ago and while I have the holidays more or less down I feel lost on Shabbat.
Examples of what it would ideally include: – Transliteration of major prayers including the entire Shema – Reminders of when to bow, and why – What the reader/congregation says during the Torah service/aliyot
I welcome your recommendations!
