is there educational value in the Talmud for non-jewish students?

I was reading some news about how south-korean schools had been trying to make students learn Talmud. I think in china too. (i tried to read a bit of it online,didnt understand much)

is the back-and forth arguing shown for each law the educational strong point? or the page’s structure? I worked in primary school teaching ESL for 3 years,so im interested in new ways of educating school children.
