Is there anything wrong with “covering” yourself with hands at mikveh?

I was not raised Orthodox but kind of am now (from Israel, moved abroad where there’s more delineations). I actually never went to a mikveh in Israel. If I were to go now (in London) would there he any issue if I “covered” my genitals with my hands? I’m curious if there’s any difference there with the US as well. Really I’m just kind of shy haha but want to go to the mikveh.
