Is the preponderance of "ex-Orthodox" media a result of latent antisemitism?

I was talking about this at the Shabbos table several weeks ago.

To me, the media’s obsession with “ex-Orthodox” Jews – promoting books, movies, TV shows, and other media about them – is heavy-handed and unbalanced. Where are the ex-Mormon novels? Where are the ex-Muslim documentaries? Where are the ex-Catholic TV shows?

Maybe the above things exist, but I haven’t seen them.

For clarity’s sake: I am against the current cultural obsession with “ex-Orthodox” stories. But I am also against the sugarcoated backlash (claiming that Orthodox women are uniformly happy, beautiful, wealthy, healthy, fulfilled, successful, and heard) I’ve seen on social media lately.
