So I’m doing some used siddur shopping, and I found this Sephardic siddur that looked nice because it has English, Hebrew, as well as transliterations.
It said it’s for teaching the B’nei Anusim community of Sephardic crypto Jews, mostly Hispanics in the US. The person who made it I believe is called Rabbi Juan Marcos Bejarano Gutierrez, who says he is a Crypto Jew and is involved in that scene quite a bit. I’m not sure if he or his organisation are “real” so to speak and if he is actually Jewish. Says he got smicha from Yeshivat Mesilat Yesharim, but idk it. Does anyone know of him or this siddur? Or can snoop it out better than me? I feel a bit sceptical but I’m only familiar with a few major publishers like Koren. Thanks everyone.
It’s no longer shabbat where I live, but shabbat shalom for those where it is shabbat.
