Is permaculture assur (i.e. not halachically permissible)?

Shalom!

I’ve recently been watching some sustainable living videos and many include the practice of permaculture. It’s a form of farming/gardening that mimics nature with all sorts of species planted near each other to support healthy biodiversity.

Now, I remember that Shatnez is assur and involves textile mixing, animal breeding, and planting different species of seeds together. Would this mean that different seeds can’t be in the same whole or can’t be planted near each other (permaculture)?
