Is it right to read Anne Frank’s diary?

For some info: I am jewish, a descendant of two auchwitz survivors. I recently checked out the Diary of a Young Girl from the library, and I am feeling a little conflicted about reading it. I feel like Anne Frank was a teenage girl who wrote private things for her eyes only about her feelings and experiences. This feels like an invasion of privacy, and if I can’t get the whole world to respect that, I can at least not read it myself. Am I crazy to be feeling like this? Should I just read it?
