Is Golem a roundabout way of referencing goyim?

In some languages, an ‘L’ is pronounced as a ‘J’ or ‘Y’ (English).

I don’t know anything about Hebrew or Yiddish pronunciation but if that would be so, effectively Golem would sound as goyem. The jump to goyim would then be very small.

This made me wonder, is Golem a reference to goyim?

Is there any relation between Golem and goyim?
