Is God silent?

When I was a Christian, it was somewhat “easy” to pinpoint where you think God spoke out or intervened, mainly because of the constant emphasis on miracles and apparitions (I was mostly Roman Catholic). The same could be said with Islam where the place it started from, Mecca, is an active destination for millions of Muslims, and the active history of Islam may be interpreted as Allah’s intervention in the world. Now that is very likely due to the fact that both religions make up at least half of the world population, and so one can get the illusion that “their god” is active in the world. But what about Judaism? Where do I go if I want to see examples of where God spoke out or intervened in the life of His people outside of the Bible?
